Create a new permission

Hi Chaps

I'm interested in creating a permission to "Block Images". This permission is intended to be true to all new users.
As an admin, I can apply this to a "Viewers Group" and also apply it to an "Editors Group".
I'm wondering if this should be written as an extension, or if there's another, simpler way.

Just trying to get a steer on how to go about this.

So far, I think I two pronged approach might work:
1) Have a Permissions manager extension, that just creates/deletes permissions
2) Have any group able to tap into the list of permissions.

But I'd be grateful for any steer.

will-gg The issue with a permission manager is that you'd still need to use code, as you'd have to add checks to existing Flarum code for the permission check.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Block Images", though. Block images in posts, i.e. reply to see kind of thing? Or users can't post images, period?

datitisev It's to stop uploads of images or adding them to their posts, until we have verified them.

will-gg basically block the usage of the IMG BBCode and Markdown is what I'm getting out of this.
