Forum stopped working after MySQL reinstallation.

Hi everyone!

So, today I tried migrating to MariaDB (I was using MySQL)... well, let's say it was a very frustating experience (and I couldn't get it to work at all) so I decided to install MySQL again.

After reinstalling, everything that used MySQL is working fine, my website, my other website, my Minecraft server, no issues at all...

...except Flarum, Flarum decided to stop working at all, it only displays a empty page when trying to open it (even with debug mode enabled/nothing shows on the developer console), the database is still there intact, but the forum isn't working.

Anyone has any idea on how to fix this problem? Maybe just reinstalling Flarum will fix it? Thanks!

Huh, strange.

PDO is installed as a PHP extension (Other parts of my website uses PDO to do MySQL queries, and they don't have any issue)

You might need to review your database settings. The mysql server might be bound to a specific IP or you might have set up your database crendentials to the wrong host (check your config.php). As there is no "username" being mentioned, the issue lies in not being able to connect to the mysql server at all.

luceos Changing the "host" to "127.0.0.1" (it was "localhost") magically fixed the issue 🙂
