Flarum on Lightsail will be Amazing. Please make it happen.

Hi, Its been just 24 hours and i love Flarum like anything. All i want to see is its support for Amazon Lightsail platform in near future. It will be totally amazing. The only big set back i feel right now with Flarum is the Installation. This can be improved and i am sure the team is working hard for that.

If it can become like a wordpress installation, just imagine how fast it will help people build their communities.

By the way. i will support you guys and if i succeeded with my installation i will contributing to this team every year. Thanks.

Hi, I got my VPS on Lightsail and managed to install Flarum on it. Actually, AWS Lightsail gives you ssh access and that's all you need to proceed with Instructions here.

hi valentine, thought the same but it has certain limitations. may be because i am in starter plan. composer was throwing errors repeatedly.

iRobin Are you on the $3.50 plan? If I remember correctly, composer doesn't run well with 512MB RAM. Try upgrading to the $5 plan and try again.

iRobin I haven't tried Lightsail before, I just know the optimal system specs to run Flarum (really, it's composer that needs more RAM) 🙂 The $5 plan is nearly identical to DigitalOcean's other than the fact that the Lightsail SSD is bigger, so you should have no problems with it.
