datitisev I think he/she means just that, writing explicitly that the upgrade procedure only works from beta8 to beta9, and that if you're still on beta7 you should first do the 7 => 8 upgrade. I can imagine that one would want to do the upgrade in two steps (7 => 8 and 8 => 9), but not everyone knows how to make sure you're doing that with Composer (will that even be possible after beta9 is out?)

matteocontrini Ah, I see. The steps from beta 7 => 9 are actually the same as from beta 7 => 8, so while performing the changes required for beta 8, the user should be updated to beta 9 when running the composer update command anyway.

I'm particularly thankful for the job of u guys. Probably u all know but there's no similar free option for Flarum on the web today, everything works very well and BEAUTIFUL even in beta <- that word is maybe one of the reasons forums have being abandoned for the casual internet user and i see in flarum project and others like discourse, nodeBB etc an effort to make this mainstream again. Don't know the future of the tool, but paid or not, will continue to be amazing! Can't wait for Beta 9 😄
