Anyone know why I would be getting an error 500

markd69 please retrieve the full error message from the log file in <flarum>/storage/logs or by enabling debug mode in config.php and trying again. If the error is with the webserver and not Flarum, details might be found in the webserver log somewhere in /var/logs/ (likely /var/log/apache2/errors.log for Apache)

markd69 the only noticable error in the log is TypeError: Argument 1 passed to Flarum\Extension\ExtensionManager::migrateDown() must be an instance of Flarum\Extension\Extension, null given, called in /var/www/html/vendor/flarum/core/src/Extension/ExtensionManager.php on line 175 and defined in /var/www/html/vendor/flarum/core/src/Extension/ExtensionManager.php:253 but this one seems to be triggered from the admin extension page and not by visiting the forum.

The 500 error happens on the Flarum homepage ? Can you maybe give us a screenshot of the 500 error or a link to the website if it's publicly reachable ?

You previously had access to Flarum ? Did the error appear after installing an extension ? EDIT: is it while trying to access the Flarum installer ?

markd69 this looks like an Apache error (by the fact nothing appears). The details should be in a log file in /var/log. Maybe there is an error file for a specific VirtualHost you have.

Or is it a managed VPS/shared hosting ? They may give you access to the logs via a web UI.

I just changed the ../ to ./ like someone suggested on the discord server... still didn't do it

markd69 can you give us an overview of your current file structure ?

If you removed the public folder according to https://flarum.org/docs/install.html#customizing-paths you can see how your files should be edited in the install guide (mostly ../ becomes ./)

But if your structure is different, you'll need to find the relative path to the vendor folder. Do you have index.php directly in /var/www/html and vendor at /var/www/html/vendor ?

Issue has been resolved, thanks for the help @clarkwinkelmann! I simply forgot to change the /vendor to vendor/
