[deleted] do you know of any other forum platform that implements a home button in the sidebar like that ? I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but I can't think of any existing platform that does that 🤔
Having the navigation button near the logo (or be the logo) seems like the industry standard. Discourse doesn't even seem to have an arrow icon or any link, the only way to go back home is the logo, or the link at the very bottom of the page.
Anyway if you're looking for help implementing the button via your own extension, let us know. Otherwise I don't think there is any non-extension option to add such a link. You could add a link to the header that says Home, like it was done here on Discuss (though here it does back to Flarum website, but you could make it go to the forum homepage) if you want, search for the FoF Links extension.
