Can I change the default URL of a discussion?

I have a website on wordpress, with a plugin that makes it a question/answer platform. I would like to move it on flarum, I could import the content manually into the database, but my problem is that the URLs are structured different, basically on wordpress right now I have "https://.../question/title". There is the possibility to set the URLs on flarum that way, instead of the actual "https://.../d/title" ?

There's no built-in way to change urls parts, and it might not be super easy. Additionally to get rid of the ID in the url would require a unique slug generation, which is not the case in core Flarum.

For migration I'd recommend a custom script to perform redirects to the new Flarum urls. You might be able to create something similar to https://github.com/migratetoflarum/vbulletin-redirects

clarkwinkelmann No, is not actually that different, is just that I didn't got any answer on that, and wrote another one a bit more detailed, but the issue is the same.

I might then just let flarum as it is, import the data, and the just use Google's "change of address tool" for the URLs..

trying to change the way that flarum does SEF URLs would be more difficult than doing 301 redirects for the existing threads. You should be able to find a sitemap export tool to give you all those URLs and then you can just create a 301 import tool for Google and whatnot. (might want to do it on WP as well with the Redirection plugin)

Question:
how are you moving a Q/A to Flarum when it doesnt really have that style of content? I suppose the Best Answer extension could kind of do that but it's not really a Q/A replacement.
