Facebook Login not working

Hi Guys!
I have worked all the day for installing Flarum in a Shared Host (Hostgator) and it worked!
Now I'm having an issue with Facebook Login extension.

I already have an ID and an app secret, because I've already worked with Facebook Login in past. It is enabled in Facebook for Developers.

My forum address is https://gvensino.com.br/forum

When I go to login with Facebook Login, the message "URL Blocked" appears:

I have tried many things, without any success.

I have tried many many URLs in Facebook Developer, as you can see in this image:

I also have put many combinations in Domain Manager:

Very sad! Nothing works! I have searched a lot here and in the Internet, but.... nothing!

Can someone help me with this issue? Thanks!

Maybe it is related to /auth/facebook/callback or /auth/facebook

As you can see in the images below, I have tried to put those in "URI Redirect", but it did not work.

I dont know what to do. Thinking in go to phpBB or another forum, but I´m very sad because I have loved Flarum, but Facebook Login is essential for me.

I just had https://domain.com/auth/facebook

Do you have already set up a URL to your privacy policy? this part

Yes! It worked!

But after the login, the facebook redirects to an invalid post of my website:

I have noted that the address it returned is gvensino.com.br/auth and not gvensino.com.br/forum/auth

What should I do to correct that?

In that part maybe you have https://gvensino.com.br instead of https://gvensino.com.br/forum as shown here ?

And I have tried a lot of combinations there, like putting "/forum" at the end. Not worked.

GabrielMaganha this is now a confirmed regression in Flarum flarum/core778

The 3 social login extensions of Flarum (Facebook, Twitter, GitHub) do not work correctly if Flarum is installed in a subfolder. This will require a fix in the extensions.

In the meantime using a server rewrite to redirect <root>/auth/facebook to <root>/<subfolder>/auth/facebook while preserving the query string might be an option.

Thanks for reporting this problem.

I put the following line in the .htaccess OF THE WEBSITE (not the .htaccess in Flarum folder):
Redirect 301 /auth/facebook https://gvensino.com.br/forum/auth/facebook

It loads the facebook, but when I confirm, the window closes, but nothing happens.

So I tried to put "www" in the website address:
Redirect 301 /auth/facebook https://www.gvensino.com.br/forum/auth/facebook
Now, an error message returns.

I think the correct way is without www, because is this way it is registred in config.php.

So, why nothing happens?

Is there any way to put Flarum in my root folder and not conflict with my Wordpress website? I know Flarum has an index.htm, but it should be renamed. Any suggestion?

I have been able to successfully work around the issue by placing the following .htaccess file in the root folder (not the Flarum folder):

  RewriteRule ^(auth/.*)$ /flarum/$1 [R]
</IfModule>

This could be added to your Wordpress .htaccess file and should redirect the login requests to Flarum. Substitute /flarum/ with your Flarum folder name. In Facebook, whitelist the url redirect without the subfolder.

The workaround will fix all Flarum login providers, includng Facebook, Twitter and GitHub. This means you can't have any Wordpress page url starting with /auth/. If you still want all those urls except /auth/facebook to resolve through Wordpress could replace .* with facebook in my htaccess.

This can only be achieved with a subfolder on the same exact domain name. But you could setup a subdomain for your forum (like forum.yourdomain.tld) and configure Flarum at the root there. Or keep it like it is currently and use my workaround above 😉

The first solution did not work. Page not found. Even after putting the .htaccess rule.

Yes! Putting in a sub-domain, it worked! Wow!

The documentation about this should be updated! Many many many hours (a whole day almost) trying that, and a subdomain is the solution.

The only thing i dont' know how to do now is how to automatically bring the facebook avatar to flarum. The user is created, but without his avatar. Here, in this forum, when I logged with facebook, my facebook avatar came automatically. Is possible to do that in my forum too?

This should work out of the box. But I just tested on my beta 8 test forum and it indeed doesn't work, so not sure what is happening. Maybe it's another issue 😬

I added to the facebook app this url: https://mysite.com/auth/facebook (I have http but facebook did not leave place http so I placed https)

I tried a signup and when will redirected to my site I see this message:
"An error occurred while trying to load this page."

Maybe it is because I have http not https still?
