Japanese Language Extension

In this language package you'll find tranlations for the core of Flarum (I'm hoping to get all of the known extentions translated soon!) At the moment it's not recommended for production or general use as it still needs a lot of work done to it.

Under Development

Composer Install

As with all extension this requires a composer install

composer require felli/flarum-japanese

At the moment there are two branches of this extension, the dev branch will serve as a testing grounds till everything is up and working. I've also added two README.md files one for English and the other for Japanese.

To-dos

  1. Continue the updating for standards beta releases
  2. Finish translations
  3. Create a Japanese support forums

Very cool! Thanks for contributing! ?

As you noted, the structure is still somewhat old. For example, you need a composer.json file, not a flarum.json. For comparison, you can take a look at the French language extension, that is always very up-to-date.

Franz Thanks for the great example, I'll be updating everything later tomorrow so this will help me a lot! ?

Did some work on the language package today, still needs reviewed. Please create an issue if you see any problems in the code, or translation! ?

I have updated both the README.md files (There are two of them one for English users and one for Japanese users.) I have also translated some (Not all sadly ? ) will do more work most likely later today or tonight when I have time to do so.

@Dominion I was talking to @luceos few days ago via Gitter and he told me that you may be able to help me with this language packages? As of right now, I haven't completed it, but some over viewing as well as translations could be useful! ?

Felli I do plan to create my own Japanese language pack for Flarum eventually, but I've got a lot of work to do right now (I have to build three websites) and I'd prefer to wait for Flarum to get closer to a final release state in any case. (I won't be able to switch my current esoTalk site over to Flarum until Flarum supports Japanese slugs and private conversations, at the very least!)

Once I've completed my language pack, I do plan to offer it for general use and keep it supported and up to date.

Dominion That was my original plan but I was kinda rushed into it because of a forum owner that I know that's using the beta build, and as you know people want things when they want them. ~.~'

Indeed! I don't really have the time to devote to the translation now, but if you have any questions about sticky points please feel free to PM me in Gitter.

Alright so I've gotten some work done today, at the moment I'd say about 10% actually translated and I'm hoping that I'll be able to finish this weekend (I'm hoping before the end of Saturday.)
