Transfering flarum files from subdomain to main directory

Hello, can I ask for a help? what if my flarum files are installed in my subforum (social) then I want to transfer it to public_html or main domain directory.. is there something I need to modify? is there a guideline for that? Thanks.

Choipadua17 You should be able to simply move the files out of the subfolder, and edit the url field in config.php to no longer have /social.

I tried it, and was been fortunate. However, there still a "public" folder that contains ASSET FOLDER/ INDEX.PHP / .HTACCESS..

when I visit mydomain.store (it shows file directory)
but when I visit mydomain.store/public (it shows my flarum site)

any help? I want the /public be removed. but where should I transfer those 3 files inside?

Choipadua17 You'll have to set up your web server to use the public directory, this is for security purposes. See the link above on how to do so.

EDIT: As I mentioned, the best solution would be to keep the public folder. However, if that doesn't work for you, follow the instructions at the link @jordanjay29 posted.

okay now it was wrecked! following the instruction made some conflict.

can I just have back the line command #9-#14?

as my backup generating takes a while....

or someone can just access my cpanel and correct the path thing?

Choipadua17 Our weekends do tend to be slower for support. It seems that our experts use Flarum as an escape from work or school during the week. 😉

If you want to restore the files as they were before, the original files changed can be found at the repo, or the exact code here:

/flarum
