If someone wants to do a solved extension right, it should be integrated more deeply. Make it an attribute of the discussion, to be turned on/off per tag, and have permissions associated with it (maybe the thread-starter or mods/admins can make a topic solved in one tag, but only admins can do it in another topic, this would be useful for support vs site bugs). That way the solved aspect isn't associated with tags, which is more of a workaround than it is a real solution.

If you want to discuss it more, I'd suggest a new topic, as this one is more about types of threads.

Also ability to have sub threads and merge threads:

sub threads - when there is a broad topic where some threads only discuss a part of the main thread. E.g.
- In Github you have a main issue in which you list sub issues but this is not a great way to do it
- Discourse has linked topics
Also merge threads which discuss the same thing. E.g.
- Quora has the ability to merge question

Also a post can be is more than one thread. E.g. my post in https://discuss.flarum.org/d/364-follow-users/8 is based on the context of "trending" and "popular" but this is more relavent to this thread. Instead of just providing a link perhaps there can be a better way to refer to it as part of this thread also.

antonjw You gave me a great idea. I will create a "Discussion Engine". But it will not be a software that is available, I will simply create a website but with the functionality you describe of a "Discussion Engine" that you propose, added to hundreds of ideas that I have been collecting in several well-organized documents. My project will be called "Hardsot".

But I will begin to create the code exactly after a year and a half, because I have too many occupations. Besides living in Venezuela, which complicates many things. I will be the next "Mark Zuckerberg". But improved version, I will integrate not only your ideas, but hundreds that I have read during my years on the internet, plus the ideas that I have had. This will be a bomb.

I think the "Chat" system should be equal to Facebook. Just chat with the users who are your "friends" in the community. Although there may be a global chat that is activated in "special events" of the general community. Have them split into different chat rooms. As simple as that.
