As we announced a month ago, we have started guaranteeing the future of Flarum. With the Flarum Foundation well underway, we decided to look at our team capacity.
As a result, we have grown our team to push some of our responsibilities onto others and to strengthen our developer capacity. Please welcome or applaud these promotions:
- @datitisev promoted to the Core Developer team. Aside from his leading position in our contributor ranking showing his value as a consistent contributor, David is an extremely gifted developer. Already he is taking full responsibility over the Javascript Framework rewrite planned for one of the upcoming releases!
- @clarkwinkelmann also promoted to Core Developer, responsible for our security reports and advisories. Clark has shown great commitment over the years, knows a ton about working with Flarum and has a vast amount of knowledge about security to help us move forward. Please do notice his position in the contributor ranking, because only our JS compilation bot stands between him and David.
- @katos has adopted the new role of Q&A Coordinator, where he will be responsible of leveling up our manual and automated quality assurance processes. In addition Philip packs a ton of experience in several fields which brings benefit to the project on many levels, including legal and IT support.
- @Ralkage brought into the team for our new role of Release Coordinator, responsible for overseeing the upcoming release. Keeping track of our progress, tackling stale issues and guaranteeing a timely bi-monthly release. Christian has a great eye for detail and has been active in both ReFlar and Friends of Flarum in a similar position.
- @Prosperous has adopted the new role of Content Coordinator, responsible for our social media feeds and reviewing announcements like these before they go out. Gary has a great passion for outreach and messaging, as well as being a familiar face around the community.
All this new blood already has rewarded us with an increased development pace. We're glad we can rely on such a wonderful group of people! If you're willing to help us out too, feel free to reach out to us on Discord.
