I've had to disable fof/drafts - it's creating a draft for everything ! On a busy forum, this is rapidly becoming unmanageable and quite a distraction in the sense that the drafts are never cleared down - they remain there until they are deleted.

[deleted] I had to turn off autosaving here under my user preferences because it was driving me nuts lol a solution could be to disable auto saving drafts in the user preferences from the get-go, or setting the autosave interval to more than 6 seconds as the default.

Doesn't matter if I set it to 600 seconds, it still saves everything as a draft !

A few ideas that could improve UX: How about a minimum character count for something to be saved as a draft? Or about autosave only working on existing drafts? And at the very least a button that would delete all of a user's drafts? If any of y'all have any other thoughts for how this could be improved, please share 😃

This would be very welcome. Additionally it would be nice to group drafts according to the discussion they are related to and have all drafts related to a discussion being deleted once a post in that discussion has been sent.

I totally agree with the purposes but regarding the method, I think it would be even better to consider some global prerequisites . Here are some orientations that - I think - would be suitable for most forums :

an admin setting to set autosave enable or disable for all users by default
an admin setting to set the default autosave interval for all users
a solid configuration that really auto delete all drafts of a sent post (idk if this is available in theory but as of today on discuss.flarum, this is not the case for me)

I must be on an older version... I am running 0.3.1 for Drafts. I don't have options for auto save.... but sounds like that's a good thing for me right now 😄

MikeJones 0.3.1 is the latest 🙂 the setting should be in your user settings page which you can configure on Discuss as well: https://discuss.flarum.org/settings

MikeJones there's no error. It just didn't update anything.

Maybe you have an outdated Flarum or you already installed the latest version of the extension. You can use php flarum info to check the version of Flarum and the extension.

You can remove the old flagrow.io/satis endpoint from your composer.json to save Composer some time. If you have Extiverse premium extensions you can directly add the new Extiverse URL as found in your Extiverse settings.
