en(x).yml get 500 error

in webmin, copy-paste function of file explorer adding additional numbers to copied files, like as en.yml to en(1).yml.
that file structure gives http 500 error, example when if i copy-paste to language files in extension/locale folder.

Which file(s) are you editing ? What is the content before and after the changes ? Which content causes error ?

Are you talking about core or an extension ? About the vendor folder or a development setup ? Files in vendor should not be edited.

clarkwinkelmann I've just tried it on extensions. example: just a create an empty file under /vendor/flagrow/html-errors/locale with named en(1).yml.

[deleted] the name of the file is used to match with the locale. en(1) isn't a valid ISO locale so there will likely be an issue.

Try renaming the file to the actual locale you're attempting to use. The locale ISO name has to be registered by a language pack in order to make it available in the language switcher.
