Loading time extremely long

Hello, Is there a way to improve the loading time ? after the migration from SMF2 I got discussions with thousands of posts and I understand that Flarum is loading the entire array of posts of a discussion but in this case it's too long to load. Ok I know that it's on a local dev server but it will be very long in production too.

If the 168K post discussion taking a long time then this is normal even in other forum software like Discourse. Actually Discourse has a limit on the number of post allowed per discussion for this exact reason. Forum software that uses javascript to render content (Like Flarum and Discourse) have and always will struggle to load large post discussions like that one due to the nature of javascript and the way data gets loaded.

The best solution may to be lock that discussion and then split it/start a new one from the beginning and repeat right around 75K-100K post which seems to be the max flarum can handle nicely. This is currently the solution that one of the other very large forums using flarum uses.

So.. we are aware about some issues with performance and we're most definitely going to tackle these in the coming release. In my discussions with my clients I've noticed that performance often is impacted badly by non-optimized extensions, but also from core. We're using this feedback to improve Flarum before stable.

I discovered the case of a discussion with a huge amount of posts after the import process from SMF2. So yes, it could be usefull to limit the number of loaded posts and loading the next posts on scroll event like a kind of cache. This technique is comonly used on android adapters. Thanks for this very good work I'll notice you when the great motorcycle association's forum will be online.
