Hey guys, I'm using an EC2 intsance with OpenLiteSpeed. Installed Flarum there and I have some issues with composer (otherwise everything works great). My forum is a Q&A Community. If you can help me fix the issue I'll pay, of course. Send me a message at alterdaniel@outlook.com

danielunited extending on what rob006 said...you can check if iconv is installed by running php --ri iconv, which should display iconv support => enabled. If not, then try installing php-iconv and try again.

Try install php-iconv package.

Did what you said, tried to install an extension, and got this error: "Killed"

danielunited Your instance does not have enough memory to perform dependencies resolving. You should generate composer.lock on different machine, put it in your project on server, and then run composer install.

danielunited either that or configure a swap for your memory; digital ocean has an article about that somewhere..

danielunited It may help, but be aware that Composer eating over 2 GB of memory is not an unusual situation, so it may be just a waste of money to upgrade only for command run one per 1-2 months.

And you shouldn't really need to run dependencies resolving on production server, since it is really easy break your live forum. Generating composer.lock with tested dependencies should be preferred solution.
