davwheat Hmmm.... there isn't a log file there... Îģ php -v PHP 7.2.22 (cli) (built: Aug 28 2019 09:29:01) ( ZTS MSVC15 (Visual C++ 2017) x64 ) Copyright (c) 1997-2018 The PHP Group Zend Engine v3.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2018 Zend Technologies Database is MySQL 5.7.27
DexterA1 I have exactly the same problem, only with other MySQL errors. Seems like the database which Flarum install is completely incompatible. Someone have a solution? âšī¸
DexterA1 Yes, tried it 3 times. I also tried to add the left colums manually but that is a vicious circle.
DexterA1 @davwheat I agree with you, my friend. Now after doing some MySQL stuff manually it finally finished "updating" and looks now like this: I mean, i know that the software is still in beta but i thought it would be atleast useable. đ¤
DexterA1 [deleted] Clearing cache didn't change anything. And if you mean with language extension to disable/enable it in admin panel then how should i be able to do it? đ¤
luceos DexterA1 you can still use the site, log in by clicking the link in the top right. It takes some experimentation though. I assume the English language pack isn't installed. Do you know what you changed to make it work? From the looks of it the database wasn't correctly set up.
DexterA1 luceos But there wasn't created an admin account and i also can't create it myself in database because passwords have to be encrypted i assume? To get it work: Firstly i installed a older version of Flarum: composer create-project flarum/flarum:0.1.0-beta.9 . --stability=beta Then i removed/renamed some table colums which was already created but Flarum wanted necessarily to create/rename them again, until he finally finished "the update process".
DexterA1 @luceos It seems like the problem is that at installation he create the tables but can't insert anything in it. And this weird update thing is caused because the migrations table wasn't filled (which contain database update information) and the admin account will also don't inserted. So the problem is now clear but we still need a solution.. đ
luceos DexterA1 sounds like the installation unexpectedly stopped, did you run the wizard through the web installer? And what kind of hosting environment do you have (shared, vps etc)?
DexterA1 Oh my God... This guy @peopleinside deserves a medal. His solution fixed all my problems. @davwheat I would recommend you to do the same.
peopleinside DexterA1 Thanks for your kind words. Im happy to see a message that i shared is helping someone đ
davwheat Sorry I haven't replied. Just remembered this thread. The web installation method still isn't working for me but I'll try the method DexterA1 mentioned.
DexterA1 jordanjay29 Yep for me its working fine now. But i am not the thread creator. You may have to ask @davwheat. But my solution should work for him too. So i think its solved. đ
