I just want to say thank you to everyone who has worked on Flarum to make it as great as it is. I just recently found it and am absolutely blown AWAY by how wonderful and modern it is.
I've been a little upset for ages that Discourse is pretty much the defacto standard for forum software, since it's rather slow, unintuitive, and feels rather barebones. Any other solution also just feels like a new coat of paint on the same old forum design.
Flarum feels so much different. In three words, I could describe it as intuitive, elegant, and exquisite. Every single element feels polished to a shine, everything feels frictionless, seamless, and FUN, and not once have I said, "wow, this doesn't feel like a modern website."
I am so, SO impressed. Obviously, there's some flaws, and some jank here and there, as beta software. But that's NOTHING compared to just the level of attention and care given to the user experience and interaction.
I'm in love. Thank you so much, to everyone both on the project and part of the excellent extension ecosystem.
EDIT: Also, how could I forget the sensible URLs and the great animations? This is wonderful.
