Murgusk I don't use this extension nor do I use Wordpress anymore... So don't hold me to it...

This error indicates that a specific file required by a library (Symfony Polyfill) is missing from your WordPress plugin directory. Specifically, the filebootstrap80.php is missing from the vendor folder of the sso-flarum plugin.

Navigate to /wp-content/plugins/sso-flarum/vendor/symfony/polyfill-mbstring/
Ensure bootstrap80.php exists there.
symfony/polyfill-mbstringblob/1.x/bootstrap80.php

Also, does Wordpress use Composer?

KBExit I don't think Wordpress uses Composer.

Seems like sso-flarum v2.20 has bootstrap80.php.

But it is missing from v2.21
sso-flarum v2.21

v2.20 works but v2.21 keeps crashing even after adding bootstrap80.php.

Hope the author of this extension can fix the WP Plugin.

I know that there is a paid version of the WP-Flarum integration plugin but I do not need so many features like syncing WP's comments with Flarum's forum. I only need SSO between WP and Flarum and that the sign in credentials are synced. I'm sure there are many WP website owners who also just need a simple SSO between WP and Flarum but not coders so we can't code it ourselves.

WP, like the social media platforms FB, Google, etc, has a huge user-base. So, I hope Flarum can make this plugin an official Flarum plugin and keep it updated so that WP users like myself can have SSO between the 2 platforms. This will be beneficial and unique to Flarum as I also have difficulty getting SSO to work between WP and other forum software unless I pay for the plugin/extension which includes features that I do not need outside of SSO.

Murgusk The problem is, however way you installed the plugin, you didn't download all the files. This is another error stating a file is missing: symfony/deprecation-contracts/function.php

You need a clean install...

KBExit I don't understand what you mean by downloading all the files. I followed the instructions on the extension page. It said:

**Automatic installation**
You can find the plugin in the WordPress plugin Directory.
So you can download it from your WP site in Plugins --> Add new.
Warning! This method can fail! If the plugin activation fails then try one of the methods below

That's all that is required for plugin installations in WP. The plugin activation did not fail, it succeeded. It's just that v2.21 has a missing php file and v2.20 gave another critical error. I don't think this has got anything to do with my WP site.

And I did remove the plugin and reinstalled it multiple times. Unless you are talking about clean installing WP which is is not worth my effort because all my other plugins are working perfectly well so I see no reason to clean install and reinstate the entire website just for 1 plugin.

Anyway, thanks for your help. I'm moving on to using another community software which can easily integrate with WP.

Murgusk I understand you followed the direction, but based on your error report, you're having issues due to not having all of the files you need.

Clarks version of this extension, from what I gather, works just fine and he's well known for his extensions here. You mentioned it, but it looks like you don't wish to spend money for this to work...

Hi Murgusk, sorry for the late reply. That dependency means the WP plugin dependencies aren't "aligned" with your current PHP version. I could update the extension, but this might break it for someone else with an older version. For now, until I figure out something, you can run a composer install or composer update inside the plugin folder to update the dependencies
