SSH PHP version Problem

Hi,
My php version 7.3 but I get the following error when installing the plugin
flarum/core v0.1.0-beta.10 requires php >=7.1 -> your PHP version (5.6.40) does not satisfy that requirement.

ozkan34 your hosting might have a separate option for the PHP version on the web and on the command line.

It's best if both are set to the same version to use Flarum.

See if you can find the switch for the PHP command line version in your dashboard, or contact your host to update it for you.

ozkan34 were you able to fix the issue or is this your current php -v output with the issue remaining ?

No, unfortunately I couldn't.The hosting company also said it was no problem.

how do I solve this problem

You are confusing php cli and php available for your web server these could be differents. make a simple file named phpinfo.php and place into it <?php phpinfo() and see what version your webserver use.

ozkan34 what is the full command you run when you get the version error ? Are you running it via SSH on the server, via a browser terminal, or something else?

I am working on putty.

for example, I run the above command and I get this error.

ozkan34 what hosting company/plan is that ? Did they provide Composer for you or did you install it yourself ?

And did you maybe customize your composer.json direcly ?

Run this to see if your composer is set up to call another PHP binary:

head -1 `which composer`

You can also try:

php `which composer` require extiverse/bazaar
