mrnemesys Hi all, i'm trying to put the search bar from the header-secondary to the header-primary component but no success. I've tryed to disable the link in "core/js/src/forum/components/HeaderSecondary" by commenting the link but nothing append. The menu is identical ;( I want to customize the menu like my main website so i can change color and other to seems like. Thanks for help.
clarkwinkelmann mrnemesys have you setup javascript compilation ? https://flarum.org/docs/extend/frontend.html#transpilation To do this cleanly, you'll either need to modify core via your own extension, or fork core and then edit its files (harder to maintain on Flarum updates).
mrnemesys Thanks, i will try it. I've lot of mods... Twig, themes, login/log out, database even my config.php is modified ^' .. i've try to maintain it in a folder with modified files and use an App folder. I don't know about this javascript compilation and will look a it now 🙂
mrnemesys too difficult for me for the moment ^^ i will digg it later, with a good computer to. Do you know why when i comment // items.add('search', app.search.render(), 30); in the headerSecondary.js components, the search bar didn't disappear ?
clarkwinkelmann mrnemesys the source files (in js/src) are compiled to dist files (in js/dist) via webpack, which has to be run via npm run build as described in the docs (and before that npm install is needed to install dependencies the first time). Flarum only loads the dist files. So editing the source without compiling doesn't have any effect.
