Cache Bug ?

I think I may have stumbled on a cache bug. Admittedly, I'm using recache, so disabled it to make sure it wasn't that. If I press F5 to reload the entire forum, all is well. If I then click the header logo, the main page is loaded, and everything still looks good.

If I then click the header logo again, it seems as though a stale cache is being loaded, and responses to posts do not show again until I press F5...

Not sure if it's just me, so putting it "out there" in case anyone else has the same issue ?

Can you share a screenshot of what "responses to posts do not show" means ?

clarkwinkelmann no. Nothing sadly. I don't think there's any need for a screenshot as such - essentially, there are replies to posts that do not show when simply clicking the header logo, but do show with a hard refresh of the page

clarkwinkelmann also getting "Oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again." when trying to clear notifications, so this does seem like an odd caching issue

jordanjay29 no. Nothing at all. That's what makes it harder to troubleshoot

Is this similar to viewing a discussion list from a few hours/days earlier? That has happened to some of us a few times, and we are unsure of the reason too.

Hasn't happened to me in a while, but I'd go to the home page of Flarum Discuss and see old discussions and would need a refresh to view the new ones.

[deleted] Hm, then there's no real fix for that. It might have to do with Cloudflare, if you use it (as Discuss does), but I haven't had that bug in a while. I do remember other core members mentioning it, but that was a few months ago and I haven't seen it since.

datitisev yes, I thought it might be cloudflare also, so disabled it but the issue still occurs. Odd thing is that I can reproduce it on two browsers (Gecko and WebKit) but not on one other which is Firefox Focus (mobile)

[deleted] All on the same device? If you're experiencing it on one device and not another, it could be the local device cache. Unless you can reproduce it on a new device that is.

Anyone else have any insights ? It's very annoying to be honest and not a great experience for the users.
