Our current priority (and the reason why Flarum is still in beta) is stabilizing the extension API. One of the greatest frustrations and weaknesses of forum platforms is that extensions break over time, so the changes we're making will allow stronger BC layers and much less breakage in the long term.
We recognize that bugs like this are very annoying, and do our best to work on them when we can, but our development capacity isn't unlimited, and we have to prioritize. It's on the 0.2 milestone, so it is definitely on our agendas.
