search for word parts / in word search

How can I achieve in word search. Like when I search for "wordpr" it should find threads with wordpress. Or when I search for "mail" it should find threads with just "mails" too. In the preview of the results it shows fitting word parts too, which is a bit confusing, as the search does not find such.

mistle that would require modifying the "full text" search gambit. Right now it's already at the limit of what can be done with reasonable performance, so it might be "too much" to change that without massive optimizations. Search optimization is one of the higher priorities on our roadmap.

The highlight color in the preview is made client side, so it might not really reflect what has been matched by the database query.

Hi there! Are there plans to make it optional at least? Or is there an option to achieve this with custom setting or an extension nowadays?

Speranskiy No partial word search at this time. It may still be on the roadmap. I’m not sure. Someone else can chime in.

Speranskiy can u try hashtag extension, place an hasthtag on every discussion, then try to search that keyword...it works for me
