Issues using Flarum on IIS 10 and Windows Server

My Flarum is installed on a Windows Server 2016 system with IIS 10. Flarum has installed but cannot access the admin page without getting a 404 error and I get "resource not found errors" ,when doing anything else.

I have already tried import the .htaccess and now I cant log in or sign up without getting "resource not found errors"

Try to change web root to <domain>/public
And import or create web.config file with this:

Maybe reload/restart website instance/pool.
Don't forget to install URL Rewrite IIS extension - https://www.iis.net/downloads/microsoft/url-rewrite

If this is of any help, the web configuration will be identical to setting up a Laravel application. So it might be worth looking into Laravel IIS tutorials/resources.

I'm getting a 500 error after doing a full reinstall using the guide.

UPDATE - as discussed on Discord, @dr03m had a number of PHP extensions either missing or not enabled in php.ini - notably, fileinfo. This has been rectified with remote access, and the install completed to the point of the web wizard. @dr03m will complete from here.

Now working on some DB related issues.

EDIT 2 - bit more of a mess than I anticipated. Work continues !

This issue is now resolved. Communicated directly with user over Discord and remote session. Flarum has been installed using Apache rather than IIS, which has proven to be extremely problematic on this particular server.
