Anyone try Google Stadia yet?

I purchased a founders edition, more out of pure curiosity of the tech behind Google Stadia and have to say I am absolutely impressed with how well it works.

Curious if others on here have made the dive too?

hrvoje_hr I played a little bit of Destiny 2 but I have been playing a lot of Assasin's Creed Odyssey.

Both games so far have run flawlessly for me, its absolutely been an amazing experience. I gave my buddy pass to my Fiance and we both have been playing Assasin's Creed on wifi and no lag issues.

I have around 200mb connection in the USA.

I thought about trying it, but I can't justify the cost since it's very unusual for me to play games on the regular.

Maybe my interest in Stadia would have been enough to try it out if I hadn't had my Steam account..

MikeJones Assasin's Creed Odyssey

According to records I have already played Odyssey too much. I personally think it's one of the best games I have played in a few years, especially with the Atlantis DLC. Once I finished the default game and thought it was quite an adventure but pretty boring, the DLC just amazed and still amazes me. I must confess my taste has moved more towards highly immersive, single player, open world games lately.

I've done the exact opposite 😂 I can't bear single player. I play multiplayer everything. GTA V, Minecraft, American truck simulator, etc. I find them too boring in single player

That is honestly why I love stadia! No exspensive console to buy!

luceos I must confess my taste has moved more towards highly immersive, single player, open world games lately.

That and story-driven games is where I love spending my time, though I'll admit that building games (civilization/city/spaceships) are another love affair for me.

I haven't tried Stadia yet, though. I'm leery of streaming systems, I don't usually play anything online so I don't prioritize a super fast connection (and I hate the cable internet providers around here).

I've actually tested stadia on my laptop and I have to say I really enjoy it, but a wired connection or a really good WiFi setup is a must.

They are also giving 2 months free of Stadia Pro. Resolutions are limited to 1080p right now though, if I remember correctly.

I tried it out, and it used a maximum of 30 mbps (I think). Generally looked fine, sometimes lagged a bit but that was probably my connection, and it wasn't that often anyway. Works great for me on WiFi.

Nope, they are just defaulting to 1080p due to the COVID but you can change it in the settings.

I find mine to be a bit laggy when I play on my laptop, but when I play on a chromecast ultra on my tv is perfect.

🤷‍♂️ I installed the Stadia mobile app to change the resolution and it was already set to 4k ("Up to 4K" tho). I definitely see it a bit blurred on my 1440p monitor so I guess that's why I thought it was at 1080p.

Anyone else trying stadia yet? Outcaster just came out today and is a ton of fun. Steep learning curve but once you get the hang of it the curve shots are crazy fun.
