kevintj711 I just tested it with Debian GNU/Linux 7.11 (wheezy) and it worked fine (I needed to increment the php install part from 7.10 to 7.11 - I'll update the script)
Due to the nature of a "Virtual Private Server Install" script, it covers a lot of ground very quickly and there's not a lot of documentation on what it's doing. I was focused on functionality ?
Please review the script for that and view the original post for things it completes.
For a quick summary of steps however:
- Login to server
- add user with sudo privileges and switch to user
- Download script, make it executable and run it
- Follow prompts.
- Install flarum by navigating to server ip address.
- Continue to adjust server as needed.
As mentioned above, this is not meant to be used for a already configured server and should not be left alone after this, it's expected to be configured to your needs after this.
If you're new and just want to test it out, you can try out Devflarum or using the Post tests here tag on this forum.
