installation for directory /forum

I warmly welcome,

I would like to install flarum on shared hosting, I have ssh access and I have Composer, but I want the forum to be available at domian.com/forum

I have ftp path created the /domian.com/public_html/forum/ folder on hosting and how do I install them so that the whole public folder is as the /domian.com/public_html/forum directory Can I change the name of the public folder in the forum? Will this method work?

I need proven facts. 😁

You can follow the official instructions to install in /forum, then perform https://flarum.org/docs/install.html#customizing-paths to remove Flarum's public folder.

If you are on Apache, nothing else should be required.

If you are in nginx, an additional try block might be required and additional rules will be needed to block access to the composer and storage files.
