Hi there 🙂
I have a dummy but important question for the usability of my forum 🙂
My forum is private and only connected users can see the content.
When users use a link I shared to a discussion, not being connected, they get an error page saying
The page you requested could not be found.
Return to ...
Users think that there is an issue and that the link doesn't work at all.
And adoption becomes difficult...
Even if they use the link "Go Back To", they arrive on the homepage saying "It looks as though there are no discussions here."
And even if they are still there and connect, they won't be redirected to the original link they are looking for.
Is there any way to improve this behaviour?
- For example being initialy redirected to the login page and after that getting the initial discussion requested
- or having a never ending session to never see this error page
- or any other good idea you could recommend 😉
I really appreciate any help on this because it's really difficult to have good adoption with this behaviour.
Thanks in advance.
