I got Flarum to work with Heroku!! Though since their filesystems are temporary, I'll have to figure a way around that...

Data is not quite 100% persistent yet (if you redeploy your app, all pre-existing sessions will be destroyed, blah blah blah).
louieakil supposedly yes, but S3 probably isn't the best place to store sessions. all that session and data stuff is configured in Flarum's Laravel config.
