[editor] force bbcode instead of markdown

How can we modify the settings, so that only BBcode is used in the editor.
Markdown is fine for some people but most of the users do not know MD or understand it
We want to provide an easy-to-use experience.

e.g. Inserting an image using the button won't be understood by a layperson because it's to abstract.

PS: we want to support MD but not use it for the buttons in the editor bar

phloo You can't selectively make either of them stand out more, you could drop markdown completely though. It's not what you asked for, but possibly a solution anyway:

Right now, the buttons on the composer window (post editor) come from the Markdown extension, so they will provide Markdown. It's something the Flarum team is considering changing for the future, but it's something an extension could change now.

Thanks for the feedback. It's a bit confusing currently.
Some extensions add BBcode-styled features (e.g. spoiler or center)

maybe the extensions should be forced to add a markdown style for the editor bar.

There is an issue for taking the toolbar out of the Markdown extension, so that other extensions can add/change buttons

I like this idea, bringing the option to use BBCode instead of Markdown.
