The requested resource was not found. / 401 (Unauthorized)

Hi all,

I am having the same issue as this user:

On a new installation (beta 4 according to composer, though admin panel still tells me 0.1.0-beta.3) I cannot post a new discussion, nor can I make any changes in the admin panel or settings whatsoever. Keep getting the "The requested resource was not found." error message.

A look at the console gives me this:
401 (Unauthorized) (for mydomain.tld/forum/api/discussions)

The content returned is this:
{"errors":[[]]}

The server is running PHP 5.5.33.

No errors in the PHP log.

I searched web & forum for advice, but could not find a solution for this issue. Did anyone else have any success resolving this?

Any help appreciated.

datitisev Sadly, no. The PHP log is clear.

luceos Yes, it's a sub folder, /forum.

I understand you installed Flarum in a subfolder?

Based on luceos 's question I tried the same installation on a sub domain. Just copied the /forum contents into the web root of the new sub domain, changed the URL in the config. That resolves the issue. However, I would like to use my SSL certificate, which does not cover the sub domain, so I would rather have the forum sit in a sub folder still.

MarcusWernicke while you're looking for logs, check your webserver error log?
If nginx, should be /var/log/nginx/error.log

Kulga There are indeed no entries in the web server's error log files either. The access log shows the 401 code for the request that I already noticed on the console. That's all.

MarcusWernicke the issue should be fixed with the coming beta. Until that time you might use a let's encrypt certificate on that subdomain if you have your own (virtual) server.
