In Flarum core the permission for hiding a post is the same as for editing a post. So the only way without an extension would be to disallow users to edit their posts (change the Allow post editing permission).

An extension can modify that behavior.

RecepBilgin on the Permissions page, you find the Allow post editing option.

The offered options are Indefinitely, For 10 minutes and Until next reply.

To set a custom duration, you can find the allow_post_editing row in the settings table and set another number in minutes. By default that column will contain -1 (for indefinitely), 10 (for 10 minutes) or reply.

I have not actually tested it but I believe any (integer) number of minutes can be entered manually there.

RecepBilgin you'd need to edit the value column for the row that has key allow_post_editing. That's the cell that currently contains "reply" in your screenshot.

RecepBilgin the number of minutes after posting during which you want to allow the user to edit and hide their posts. You can see that if you select "For 10 minutes" in the Flarum interface, the value 10 will appear there.

I suppose putting 0 (zero) is possible to prevent any modification at all as soon as the post is created, but I have not tested it.

luceos I don't get what you mean. That feature is already in core. We might want to let people customize the exact number of minutes from the UI.

RecepBilgin I just tested on my local Flarum install and it works. When I set allow_post_editing to 0 my user with no role can no longer edit their posts as soon as they publish them. I also tried setting 1 and it works as expected, the post can be edited during one minute only.

Are you maybe testing inside a tag that has restrictions put on it ? (a tag with custom permissions on the permissions page), there are some known issue with that. Also make sure you're testing with a user that doesn't have the "Edit post" moderation permission as those users can always edit posts.
