Email blast my users

Hello,

I am searching for a method to send all my users an email using a newsletter service like Mailchimp. I've found a plugin that allows me to send mail to users directly from the admin panel, but it's lacking lots of features to make a solution for newsletters.

Is there a way to do this currently, using extensions or natively? At the very least, what's the easiest way I can export a list of usernames + emails to import a list into my mailchimp account?

I've actually considered the same idea, a way to sync a newsletter mailing list with signed up users from Flarum. There's no extension for that yet, nor is it on anyone's radar. Perhaps you could try to dump your users table with email address for now, but understand that you need their permission to be send a newsletter (opt-in).

luceos yep, I know that. I'll try to do that.

On another note, is there a community here building plugins? I have many ideas written down that I've wanted to explore with Flarum for months but extending forum isn't quite my skillset. I focus in front-end web design and do basic PHP things so building plugins is a bit outside of my scope.... but I'd love to learn. Any boilerplate plugins around?

Join discord in the extend channel. Most (if not all) extension developers are there and we provide direct support to your questions next to the dev tag here on discuss.
Also check the Friends of Flarum team. We're a jolly bunch (mostly staff), if you're willing to pitch in with your skill set we're willing to offer direct assistance in your path to learning 😉
In the future we'll also have a traineeship, as an official partner- or invite only option.

Just be aware that this has an impact on GDPR if you are targeting users in the EU. Under this regulation, you cannot send anything they haven't directly subscribed to - nor can it be classed as legitimate interest.
