Default page from Google

Hi all,

If I search for my website via Google then click the link it takes me to my website but under one of the tags. I want it to go to the Homepage. What is the reason for this?

ChrisWright I'd assume that the tags page of your forum is more valuable than the usual index, at least that's what Google thinks.

I'm no SEO expert though, so you'd have to consult one to get a more accurate answer.

Thats strange because the page/tag it is going to has 0 posts against it.

Normally, Google will take you to the URL that is visited the most. I too had some similar issue with a different software. It was taking me to the login page through one of the Google results.

It could possibly some bots or some real people who got interested in that particular URL.

You can search the web console and see a lot of info on performance and errors.
