Embedd Countdown Clock in Post?

Does anyone know if its possible to embed javascript in a post? More specifically, i'm trying to have a countdown clock in my post. For instance:

GeneMarks if you create a custom bbcode via an extension you can use javascript, just like the code block uses javascript for language formatting.

An extension that lets users embed javascript would be a security nightmare.

clarkwinkelmann Okay, I'm not really well-versed in any of that so I think I'll just try and find another method for the countdown clock or just abandon it.
