Well, as you may know there is Discourse, the other modern forum. But it is so f*cking slow and they, the team, don't see it (or don't want to). And the forum is ugly, very ugly. So I never considered to use it for my projects.
But there are a few features of this forum that are really really cool and useful. One of them is that of autoembeding links, videos, audio files and tweets, when you post such of them in posts. https://meta.discourse.org/t/what-is-a-onebox/4546
These kind of feature would l ike to see here too. And such a feature is part of the most of the social media today (yes, a forum is a social media too) so the users take it for granted that the things will work that way.
