Apache: Cannot serve directory /var/www/html/flarum/: No matching DirectoryIndex

Hello, I've installed flarum via apache from this guide. After completing the installation I can not access the flarum setup wizard. My site just shows the installation folder structure:

Apache's error log says the error is:

AH01276: Cannot serve directory /var/www/html/flarum/: No matching DirectoryIndex (index.html,index.cgi,index.pl,index.php,index.xhtml,index.htm) found, and server-generated directory index forbidden by Options directive

Does anyone here know how I can fix this?

Can your try the same path appending /public ?

How did you complete the install ? Anything in the Apache logs ?

[deleted] I'm not sure I understand. I setup MariaDB, Apache, and installed Flarum but never got to accessing the setup wizard to complete the install If that's what you're asking.

Your path needs to append /public as for the 500 error check the storage/logs directory and see if there are any logs there.

You need to update the DocumentRoot of Apache to be the public folder or follow https://flarum.org/docs/install.html#customizing-paths to move files one level up. Update the url in config.php if it previously included /public.

If /public is part in your final url, it means that some sensitive files are exposed in the Flarum folder.
