Ffuser1 sounds like an extension conflict. I have the latest Flarum and this extension and it works.
Maybe if you or @allen13 share what extensions you have installed with each other since you both are experiencing this, you can then see which extensions you both use and start to narrow it down. Or, deactivate all extensions, reactivate one by one, clearing cache each time, and testing diff each time.
