Installing extensions from Bazaar results in 500

I'm trying to install a new extension from Bazaar, and after a few seconds of loading get 500 on POST /api/bazaar-extensions

I refresh the page and suddenly my entire community is down. Running composer update fixes this issue, but how do I avoid it completely? Any idea what might be the cause?

danielunited The way Bazaar works from my understanding is that it downloads the dependencies using composer into a vendor2 folder first. And then basically moves vendor2 into the vendor folder (not sure how that move happens) my guess based on the error log is that either the move failed to work properly OR the bazaar composer attempt failed but the extension still tried to move the folder.

If composer failed in bazaar then the most likely culprit is a low PHP memory availability or timing out.

tankerkiller125 I think it might be an issue with the vendor2 folder because I deleted parts of it yesterday. I don't think it's a memory problem because my memory and CPU usage remains quite low. I ran "composer install --prefer-dist -a" and my website returned to normal (meaning no 500 error), and the extension is installed.

danielunited If you check the PHP-FPM php.ini config what does the memory_limit say? In some cases the CLI php config has a higher memory limit/timeout limit than the FPM. Personally I would highly recommend using the cron job based install if your on a VPS as I've had a lot fewer errors with it. It's inside the settings page:
