With Beta 12 I've decided to come back to Flarum since I'm going to make an extension. I've installed Flarum on Localhost with XAMPP, however everytime I do so, everything returns a constant for the string like core.flarum.this.looks.weird. Is there any way to fix this?

For Flarum in the console, it also comes up with Carbon 1 is deprecated, see how to migrate to Carbon 2. I run .\vendor\bin\upgrade-carbon and everything works fine after, but the constant string thing is an issue and I'd recommend upgrading to Carbon 2 in Beta 13 🤷‍♂️

This is known and should be ignored. It's just a message for developers.

This one sounds like a cache or language pack not registering correctly. Enable/disable your English language extension in the admin panel, and if that doesn't fix it, run php flarum cache:clear

That's odd, deprecated doesn't necessarily mean removed. You say upgrading Carbon fixed it?

What seems to happen is if I don't upgrade Carbon, when I get to the "Upgrade Flarum" stage in the browser, it will fail and give me an error. For the constant string thingy, I'm installing Flarum now and going to retry with your suggestion.

Something went wrong: SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1075 Incorrect table definition; there can be only one auto column and it must be defined as a key (SQL: alter table flarum_mapi_keys drop primary key)

Above is the error from not upgrading Carbon during the "Update Flarum" stage in the browser.

This was false, it seems that Carbon 1/2 issue does not relate to the SQL State. I'm getting it again, but a completely different error.

jordanjay29 I cant do anything, when I go to login I get told core.forum.log_in.invalid_login_message, but my password and username is correct.

Someone guide me to doing this installation. I've already went here and it's not helping. I keep getting stupid errors that are making me regret life:

OakleyHippo if there was an error during a previous installation attempt, you might need to manually delete the leftover tables from the database via a tool like phpMyAdmin.

Alternatively, delete the database altogether and create a new one for your new forum.

If that doesn't solve it, can you share your PHP and MySQL version with us ?

PS: you can leave the table prefix blank if you're only going to install Flarum in that database.

Instead I used Ubuntu 18.04 LTS running on Windows with Apache, PHP 7.3, and MySQL. The language pack was already enabled, so I don't know what happened before 🤔

I've gotten the UI to work, but now when I got to visit the Administration area, I get 404 and when I try to post or save settings I get Resource not found toast.
