Weekly digest from popular discussions via email

I don't know if this has been suggested/planned before...I'm not on GitHub

We all know that email is the best way to reach members so that they won't forget about us.

Right now in Flarum, email is only being used for notification...and I think it would be great if there's an automatic daily or weekly newsletter from some of the most popular discussions. So that people who don't actively posting/following will still get emails.

Excellent idea. I'm member of Crowd Design and they always email me the lastest design/contest.

It works.

I suggest they add little summary too such as number of new users, maybe how many times user (emailed owner) got mentioned in the week.
