I have a really strange bug. Wondering if someone can take a look and help.
I have www.gamersforge.com setup with flarum.
Just decided to migrate from esoTalk even though we lost all our posts.
However - it doesnt work when i access it via gamersforge.com (with or without the "www" -> mod_rewrite is working fine) - but it works perfectly fine if you access it via forum.gamersforge.com
I used the following for mod_rewrite setup:
https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-redirect-www-to-non-www-with-apache-on-centos-7
I am using apache, centos7, php5.6.19 (latest), and a few extensions (media tag + logo banner + image-upload + bb-spoiler tag).
Everything works fine - just not when accessing the main domain.
in DNS settings for domain, I have:
gamersforge.com
www.gamersforge.com
forum.gamersforge.com
they all point to the exact same IP.
there is no domain rerouting, and no CNAME records.
its usually just the easiest way to force it.
The problem:
Anytime you try to do something when accessing the forum via gamersforge.com, you get the following error:
"Oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again. DEBUG"
Such as:
- trying to login
- using sort
- navigating to any post
- navigating to any tags listing
and so on...
You can also see that no icons are showing up. Seems like there is a pathing error, as it cant find favicon folder or something. Again this only happens at the www.gamersforge.com site and not at forum.gamersforge.com
If you then F5 / refresh the page, it will show you the post you clicked on - or the listing, etc.
But it wont let you create a new account, or login - so currently nobody can access the site.
My only solution now is to DNS hard-reroute everything to forum.gamersforge.com so that users can start using our forums again.
However, I am going to leave it as it is for a few days so that anyone here who is working on Flarum can use this opportunity as a bug-investigation. Because this seems like a pretty big bug.
