Big boards with Flarum (and search)

Currently, we use FluxBB, but this solution is outdated:

Old user expertience.
A lot of SPAM.
PHP 7 is supported but it's PHP 5 orianted development.

We studen a migration to Flarum but:

Is there some experience of big board on Flarum ?
On FluxBB, search a word with a lot of occurence is bugged with 500k posts. To fix that I developed a Sphinx search Engine replacement. How Flarum work with search in a lot of posts ?

For my employer I am migrating a 100 million + posts forum in phpbb to flarum. Hardly any performance impact. https://community.giffgaff.com has millions of users and runs Flarum.

Right now search for larger Flarum forums is limited. It works though. We plan to offer an extensible solution for search databases before reaching stable (this year).

SMalt not really, because of the requirement to keep them in sync while the community gets used to Flarum.

OK, I testing currently migration from my 500k message board in FluxBB...

llaumgui 500k shouldn't be too bad, although there might currently be issues if there's a lot of tags. Those issues will be fixed in the next release.

I check the migration quality and I think build a plugin to restructure my board in tag.
