Did gmail block 3rd party apps from sending email?

I noticed my email wasn't working so I tried my Gmail account to send emails for forum sign ups but it seems blocked.... It said it was using a nonsecure protocol or something?

What other options do I haev to send emails or is there a way to fix my gmail acccount that I use to send emails?

If you're using Gmail for smtp (on a personal Gmail they may apply limits), the most reliable strategy is to set up an app password. For this, you'll need to turn on 2fa, which will allow the 'app passwords' menu to show up. Generate one for Flarum, and put that instead of your account password in the flarum email config

G suite is even better, as the caps are much higher. Same process with the app passwords. Alternatively you can set up SMTP Relay, but that can be a bit overkill.

And what should the host say? This: smtp.gmail.com

or should it be my smtp.seekadventure.com since that is my domain name?

Yep! Driver still smtp, encryption stuff the same. Domain should be smtp.gmail.com. Here's a relevant article: https://support.google.com/a/answer/176600?hl=en
