Is it possible change a discussion from public to only registered members?

I wonder if I can chose a discussion and make it private, so only registered users can read the thread.
Is there an extension for this?

teletubbie You can do this by setting it to a tag that requires Members to be signed in (i.e. only members can View discussions, instead of Guests).

datitisev I believe he means on a per-discussion basis, regardless of tag, so he doesn't have to make the permission apply to all discussions in a specific tag. Is this correct, @teletubbie?

And then I just remembered that it would be cool to have an extension that lets you ban users and guests from viewing/posting in a discussion in the same manor 🤣 or just to ban them from posting in a discussion overall 😏 (toxic users).

This is kind of trying hard to not use the tags system. The original tags wouldn't even have to be switched, another could even be added that restricts the permissions without changing the sorting/organization mechanisms in place.

Ralkage Sure, I mean select a discussion and change the permission to only registered user can see the content. Guests can see the title discussion on the main list but can't read the content. It can be used to some interesting threads to encourage users to register.
