Reply arrow icon missing

First post on the forum. First of all, a heartfelt thank you for the team and all the contributors in making this amazing piece of software. Much appreciated.

I recently noticed something strange that only happen in Chrome (Windows / Chromebook / MacOS latest official build) where the little reply arrow icons are missing and only a tiny squares are shown. Other browsers (iOS Safari / Windows Firefox) I tested showed the arrows just fine.

Not sure what is causing that? Thanks for your help.

JKong could it be a browser extension causing it?

Maybe the same unicode value is used for social icons by another icon pack and an ad blocker removes them?

Or maybe that unicode value is present in a font you installed on the system and the glyph from the system is used instead of the glyph from FontAwesome.

You could try private browsing or disabling all add-ons in the browser to see if anything changes.

Thanks so much for your quick reply. And you nailed it.

In private browsing, the icons were shown properly. Then I turned off browser extensions one at a time and lo and behold, one of the extensions is causing the anomaly!

Very interesting. Is there anyway I can do something on the server side to preempt this from happening?

JKong are you able to tell us which extension is doing this?

Whether or not you can fix it from the website will depend on what that browser extension is actually doing with it.

It automatically logs online purchases at participating sites and issues a small percentage as bonus rebates. I wouldn't have a clue what / how it does in the background though.
