Stable is planned for this year bud, and the core itself is already pretty good so it being beta or stable is just a naming difference, since neither is beta unusable for production nor will the stable version be bug-free.

But on a serious note, the only reason that we're still in beta is that we're in the process of revamping our extension API. Considering recent progress, we are well on track to release stable this year.
