Beta 12 to Beta 13 with extensions

Hello,

Running on Plesk with Composer.
I have read several topics about updating and extensions, yet I can't conclude my issue.

I am running Flarum beta 12 with some extensions.
If delete all 3rd party ext. and update dependencies, flarum will update to beta 13.

If I add some extentions in composer.json and update, my forum gets downgraded to beta 12

Is this usual behavior?

Does this mean I have an incompatible extension?

Should I install all extensions one by one?

I think I can answer this myself now, I think it was franzl/flarum-open-links-in-new-tab extension and some upload extensions which caused the downgrade.

You should install extensions using the composer require <package> command. Using that command it should be obvious which one isn't compatible as the installation will be rejected by Composer.

If you are stuck in beta 12 you can also use the composer why-not flarum/core v0.1.0-beta.13 command to see which extension(s) is holding back the update.
