flarum vs Flarepoint (Laravel-based) CRM

Hello everyone,

I want to build a CRM based on flarum. since it's fast and fluid.

i have seen this discussion https://discuss.flarum.org/d/6379-interesting-laravel-projects

if you have any suggestions do suggest ... do you think larvel is best?

should I go with Flarepoint CRM and customize it as per my needs?

I may be dealing with 10-12 lacks leads. I will be needing features like creating tasks, notes, activities for each lead

since you guys were best and have a good idea about data handling I would like to know your opinions

Flarum is very much Forum software first so I'm not sure how hard it would be to convert into a CRM software.

Flarepoint certiantly looks like an interesting CRM project (that I've never used) and it would probably be pretty easy to modify since it's build directly on the Laravel framework (instead of pieces and parts like Flarum). Personally I would probably just modify Flarepoint to whatever your unique needs are.

as of now there two frameworks to handle these kinds of huge data .. larval and Codeigniter

somewhere I found flarm is very easy and fast .

Do you want to build a CMS into Flarum, or integrate a website built with a CMS with another website built with Flarum?

Trying to merge a Laravel codebase with the Flarum codebase will likely be very difficult due to the differences in routing, middlewares and authorization.

If you're only trying to build an SSO bridge between a CMS and Flarum this should be doable with any CMS, even with non-PHP ones.

If you are trying to build a CMS or other application from scratch, you could definitely use Flarum as a framework.

So you are trying to link customers from a CRM to Flarum accounts? Or just make the CRM accessible via the same single page app as Flarum?

Hari Is 10 lack mean 10 thousand maybe? Because 10 users can be put into a contact list.... But if this is 10 thousand then I think your a bit out of scope at this point going after open source/free software and should really start looking into something with active business support you can call when you run into issues. I mean I could be biased (I work for an ERP software company) but at 10 thousand users the cost of just maintaining that infrastructure would probably be about the same as paying a good SaaS platform.

contacts or customers are the same right - let's assume 10 thousand customers

in some cases, non-profits or few organizations can not pay monthly for CRMs like Hubspot or sales force that is the issue.

in some cases, govt organizations look for own software due to various privacy reasons

i am listing required feature. I may need another 2months to list all dev and design-related features. once i have it with me so can disturb you guys again. based on the requirement dev's can quote

tankerkiller125 Recently Jetpack has acquired "zero bullshit CRM" and renamed as Jetpack CRM

they have made it OPEN for all to use. it is solving all of my needs we have migrated to the jetpack crm. thanks a lot for your suggestions 👍
